Chye Kit co-founded Cynopsis Solutions in 2014, an award-winning end-to-end RegTech solution provider headquartered in Singapore with operations in United Kingdom and United States of America. Cynopsis focuses on simplifying complex know-your-customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements by automating and digitising essential regulatory processes for clients in financial and non-financial services sectors globally.

Under his leadership, Cynopsis is named as a Top 10 Fastest Growing Company in Singapore 2020 by The Straits Times and Top 50 High Growth Company in Asia Pacific 2020 by The Financial Times. Cynopsis is also ranked amongst the Top100 most innovative RegTech companies in the world by FinTech Global. 

 

Chye Kit has more than 20 years of financial and capital markets experience in Asia, gained largely from working in Macquarie Group and ING Bank. He started his career in an external audit role with PwC specialising in audit of financial services clients. Prior to his entrepreneurship in 2014, Chye Kit spent more than a decade with Macquarie Group as Managing Director and Regional Head of Compliance, Asia. 

 

Chye Kit received a number of accolades including the much coveted MAS FinTech Awards 2018 and was named as a Top 10 FinTech Leader in Singapore 2019 by Singapore FinTech Association (SFA). 

 

Chye Kit currently serves in the Executive Committee of Singapore FinTech Association as Secretary. He had also served as the Chairman of SFA RegTech Sub-Committee from 2019 to 2023. In addition, he serves as the founding member of Regulatory & Compliance Committee of Blockchain Association of Singapore. He is also a founding member of APAC RegTech Network where he works with other like-minded RegTech leaders in the APAC region to promote the adoption of RegTech solutions.

 

On top of that, Chye Kit serves as an Advisor to RegPac Revolution, an end-to-end RegTech ecosystem builder and knowledge sharing platform. He has also advised the new generation decentralized exchange, KyberNetwork.

 

Chye Kit has been invited to be on the Singapore Education Advisory Board of International Compliance Association (ICA) to ensure that the Compliance and Regulatory qualification standards offered are robust, relevant and of highest quality.  As a Fellow of ICA, he has also been invited to speak at various ICA Conferences and Graduation Ceremonies.

 

As a seasoned Compliance professional with deep regulatory knowledge in the region, Chye Kit lectures on various Compliance and regulatory topics with ICA, SFA, Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants in Singapore (ISCA), Corporate Secretaries Institute of Singapore (CSIS) and FinTech Academy. He has also been invited by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to speak on the subjects of RegTech and Blockchain.

Chye Kit graduated with Honours Degree in Accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is a Fellow of International Compliance Association, United Kingdom and a Associate Member of ISCA.
